ParaPathways Practice ("we," "us," or "our") operates parapathwayspracticetest.com (the "Service"). This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding your data. We do not require accounts and we do not sell personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: None. The Service does not require an account, email, or any personal identifier to use.

Information stored in your browser (localStorage): Practice session results, an anonymous session ID (pp_anon_id), and quiz progress (pp_results). This data stays on your device. We cannot read it from our servers.

Information collected automatically: Aggregated, anonymized usage data via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (pages visited, session duration, approximate location at city level, device type, referring source). We do not collect IP addresses in identifiable form.

2. How We Use Information

We use anonymized analytics data to understand which practice tools are most used, identify pages that need improvement, and measure overall traffic patterns. localStorage data is used solely to display your practice history and weak-area breakdown on your own device.

We use first-party cookies for Google Analytics only. We do not use cookies for authentication, advertising, or personalization. You can disable cookies via your browser settings without affecting practice functionality (which uses localStorage, not cookies).

5. Data Retention

localStorage data remains on your device until you clear it (via the History page, clear button, or browser settings). It is never transmitted to our servers.

Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months by default, then automatically deleted.

6. Your Privacy Rights

All users: You can clear your localStorage practice history at any time from the History page or via browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

EU users (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data. Since we do not collect personal data, most of these rights are exercised by clearing your localStorage. To submit a request, contact us at the address below.

California users (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected (analytics only), the right to deletion (clear localStorage and analytics opt-out), and the right to non-discrimination. We do not sell personal information.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Service is intended for adults preparing for the ParaPathways Assessment, which is a professional certification exam. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

The Service is served over HTTPS with HSTS enabled. localStorage data is stored only on your device. We use Cloudflare's DDoS protection and standard security headers. No system is 100% secure, but we apply industry-standard protections.

9. International Data Transfers

The Service is hosted on Cloudflare's global edge network. By using the Service, you consent to your anonymized analytics data being processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates servers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
